Coach Gann is in his first year as head coach after five seasons as an assistant under Coach John Ellison. He is a product of the Hilltopper baseball program where he played from 1999-2002. Gann is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor's degree in education. His teaching duties at HHS include World Geography, Mississippi Studies, World History, and United States History.
Coach Gann and his wife Katie welcomed their son, Grayson Scott Gann to their family on December 18, 2009. The family of 3 is excited about a new baseball year!
Meet Coach Cox
Coach Cox is in his 3rd season as an assistant coach for the Hilltopper baseball team. He is a native of Forest, MS, and a 2003 honor graduate of Forest High School. He played for the bearcat football team from 1999-2002 where he was a 3-year letterman and was a member of the 1999 3A State Championship team. He graduated with honors from East Central Community College in 2006 and earned his degree in Secondary Education from MS State University in 2008. While at MSU he was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. Since 2008 Coach Cox has also served as an assistant for the Hilltopper football team. His teaching duties at HHS include US Government, World History, Economics, Law, and Physical Education. He is honored to be part of the Houston Community and excited to begin a new year of Topper baseball.
